Founded in 1960 as Shorten Publications (now celebrating its 59-year track record), it provides trade and business publications, newsletters and websites. The company has been in the print and media business for 59 years. The name was changed to 3S Media in 2005, in order to embrace new developments in the publishing world and the company’s wish to add digital solutions such as newsletters, digimags, websites, mobile media, video and social media engagement to its communication and marketing offering.
There are currently four market leading print titles plus several brand extensions and
supplements in the publication stable. These titles are produced in partnership with professional industry institutes and associations. A number of the titles have been recognised for publishing and journalism excellence. We also manage and host the annual Women in MICE Awards.
There are three websites with accompanying weekly newsletters and their respective social media platforms offering breaking news, video feeds, upcoming events and the latest industry developments.
3S Media also publishes a range of Special Interest Publications such as the City of eThekwini, City of Ekurhuleni, MidVaal Local Municipality, City of Joburg, City of Tswane and other specialist publication for clients such as ESKOM, Department of Health and the Centre of Public Service Innovation, to mention a few.
